Queuing to get to the top with people dying
Still Nepal is rolling in it. 381 permits, at $11,000 (8,600) each, for this year's Spring season, that's 3,276,600

It’s West Ham related because it’s now more possible to climb Everest than witness West Ham winning the FA Cup.
Shame I think.....

We are the Sherpa Tenzing of football. Have to struggle on carrying the dead weight of a Kiwi (Eddie Hillary / Winston Reid) on our backs

It's been a farce for decades, going back to before the disaster of '96. There's far too many rival expeditions carrying far too many rich cunts with zero experience of altitude climbing.

I would think more people have died on Ben Nevis than Everest over the last 100 years.
Thing is nowadays loads of rich fuckers with little real mountain experience chuck their cash at Everest and wind up dead.
Similar to how it ended up for Concorde, Everest has also become a white knuckle ride for people with more money than sense.
I doubt the Sherpas give a fuck, they must be loaded.

That recent picture of a massive queue of climbers waiting to reach the summit was ridiculous. I've never had an urge to do it myself, but if I did, that would have put me right off in an instant.
Reminded me of people queuing to have their picture taken with Mickey Mouse at Disneyland.
The movies have lied to us yet again.

I've always wanted to climb it but far too many people are dying or failing - not due to the mountain, or the weather etc but due to queuing. Fucking queuing! I rant when queuing at an ATM with only 1 slow cunt in front, so fuck that at over 8000 meters.

Paying to die is a particular foolish way to be parted from your money, unless you've got a terminal illness

Queuing right up in the “death zone” at the summit eh?
Who could have possibly foreseen the tragedy?

Former SBS man Ant Middleton almost pegged it at the top of Everest. Same kind of thing & one guy froze with fear so everyone is stuck behind him.

That photo is ridiculous, queuing to get to the top.
Always thought this obsession was a bit sick. Google 'green boots cave' climbers literally walked past some poor sods dead body for years to get to the top and back down again. Named after his green boots.

Gavvy’s not climbed Everest Nursey, but he’s been taken up the SHARD a few times apparently.

I am sure that if all these climbers were to have a medical prior to the climb many of them would be eliminated as a danger to themselves and colleagues. Two acquaintances of mine set out for a charity climb up Kilimanjaro and on the morning of the final hike to the rim of the summit crater the two guides told one of them that it was too dangerous for him, and their group, to let him continue.
